Actually, that might make for an interesting effect, using one to suggest the other... Emily Dickinson does that in at least a few of her poems that I've read-- "plashless as they swim" being one example. She was talking about butterflies/moths and either disturbing nature by accident, or whether or not there's an afterlife, or both. I have no idea what "plashless" means, but I know it wasn't a typo.
and fear me when I explode
for under the magmanimous skin
There burns a core of hate
That can't be marred by human hand.
